About Tipiwa Walker
I am Tipiwa Walker, founder of Lucre Advisory. My parents taught me about the value of education and hard work. Money, however, was a topic the grown-ups discussed after the kids went to bed. As a result I have had to learn about money and wealth creation through experience and a lot formal education.
I founded Lucre Advisory to help others who, like me, are the first generation in their family to educate themselves about money and finance, and to intentionally build wealth.
My experience in financial services spans over 15 years and three continents. I got my start in stock broking in Sydney, Australia, where I mastered the ins-and-outs of the stock market. There I discovered my passion for educating families about financial products and guiding them through maximizing their investments.
I have also worked in financial services regulation in London, United Kingdom, and as a financial coach supporting families as they got on their feet financially.
As a financial advisor, I have had the joy of working with countless individuals and families. I have reviewed an inordinate number of financial documents, and helped the families I serve gain knowledge, clarity and confidence about their money and financial decisions.
Our work together will be driven by what a successful life and future looks like to you. My role as your trusted professional guide is to serve as your knowledgeable accountability partner and an advocate for your future self.
As a registered investment advisor, I am held to a fiduciary standard. I am legally and ethically required to act in your best interest and avoid any conflicts of interest.
As a fee-only advisor, I do not receive any commissions or kick-backs. This avoids the inherent conflict of interest that can occur when your advisor’s compensation is tied to third-party compensation.

Our investment partner, First Ascent Asset Management, supports Lucre Advisory with a range of investment-related services. Our partnerships gives the families we serve access to the resources of a large national investment management firm, in combination with the personal service provided by an independent financial advisor.
